Summer Break

I'm taking a little break, very little since it's just a week long.  I'm in Utah visiting the grandparents and cousins and taking in the BEAUTIFUL cool weather.  BUT the great news in my parents have a TON of stuff that I'm picking through.  My dad's concerned that I'm going to end up getting Haunta virus since I'm digging through things that haven't been touched in at least 30 years. Cross your fingers for me! The treasure hunt started as soon as I got here. It took 10 hours with 3 small children, can you say 'CRAZY LADY' cause that's what I was when I got here. Having said that I have found treasures!!  The trick now is just sweet talking my mom into letting me have them. ;)  Can't wait to get them home and get to work. I'm sure the suspense is just killing you. :)

Coffee Table Copy Cat

I have a stencil that I just love! Since I'm not rollin' in the dough, I find stencils to be kind of pricey. That's why I'm going to get my money's worth with this one. Which in turn means you'll be seeing several more projects with it. Yay...right?! Here is a coffee table copy cat of the first one I did. (Since I only have like 5 posts on this blog I'm not even going to set up a link....you can just hit the HOME button on the top left if you want to check out the first one :) The only thing different is the shape of the table. Hope you like it! (And please let me know if you do, I have 5th child syndrome and I THRIVE on praise! ;)

Getting' Shabby with it!

I had a great time creating this little stunner! She was already in great shape and truthfully I didn't even mind the brown but I just thought she'd be fun as a blonde. Hugh Hefner would probably be really into her now! ;)

Hopefully you can see the mild distressing. I didn't have the heart to distress any further. She's just too pretty.

I thought about changing the hardware but I think they really fit the piece well so I just spritzed them with a little Hammered Brown from RUST-OLEUM. They turned out great!

I think roll tops are so fun! Great for keeping little hands out. :)
